The Domino U510 UV laser printer enables permanent and ultra-accurate marking on next-generation plastic packaging.
This UV laser solution is able to mark both white and colored materials directly, without requiring dedicated laser windows. Thanks to its extremely compact and integrated design, the Domino U510 is fully Industry 4.0 compliant and fits seamlessly into today’s advanced production environments.
With the Domino U510, coding is achieved by triggering a photochemical process in the outer layer of packaging, preserving barrier properties and avoiding damage. The short wavelength and high absorption of the laser reduce heat exposure and minimize soot generation.
Even thin, delicate films can be marked safely. For white or colored plastics, the laser pulse interacts with titanium dioxide (TiO₂) in the polymer, ensuring high-contrast results. Since TiO₂ is present in most plastics, codes can be created anywhere on the surface, with no need for pre-treated areas or additives.
